Installerstore Hint – Stair rods should be at least 1.5” longer then your stair runner is wide.  Stair rod lengths range from 28.5” to 72” and can be cut to fit your runner by simply using a hacksaw. 

Brackets accommodate carpet pile up to ¾” thick. 
Stair rods are for decorative use only and should not be used as a means to hold carpet in place.
