How to Stain Unfinished Wood Vents:
- Remove damper
- Sand lightly with 150 Grit Sandpaper (DO NOT USE STEEL WOOL)
- Use oil based stain on ALL surfaces
- Let dry completely
- Apply 2 coats of Oil Based Sanding Sealer (BE SURE TO APPLY TO ALL SURFACES TO AVOID WARPING)
- Let dry completely
- Sand sealer with 220 Grit Sandpaper
- Apply 2-3 coats of high quality oil based finish to all surfaces
- Enjoy your newly finished baseboard!
